Tim Holtz has a line of products called “idea-ology” he focuses mainly on paper crafts including scrap booking (not really my thing but whatever). Anyway his idea-ology line is made of some really cool steampunk things namely gears, sprockets, pocket watches, and a ton of other little things. A few days ago my parents got me some his little gears and sprockets and I can honestly say that while I’m not really into paper crafts, this stuff is actually pretty cool. The best part is all of these little dodads and whatsits are made of metal so they can be used for many other things out side of scrap booking. I can’t wait to use these in one of my future projects.
meh. I need to do stuff, but I didn’t do stuff when I needed to do stuff, which is why I need to do stuff now, but stuff can wait, untill I need to do it, like now, but it can still wait, for now, I think, I hope, I duno, maybe I should do stuff instead of typing this, unless typing this is the stuff I need to do, but I think I had other stuff I needed to do that I still need to do, but I can’t remember what that stuff was. ugh, why must I fry my brain with this stuff?
I have come across many bogus programs and software floating around lately. One of the most noticeable is the so called “Face book Credits Generator” or the “Amazon Gift Card Generator”. In short these programs have you log into an account, click a button and wamo, you have free credits or cash. I would hope these claims instantly raise a red flag to any one online, though not every one has common sense or uses it, and hackers know this. Through programs like these they can steal your accounts, load malware onto your computer and in the long run screw you and your computer. Take my word for it, a few free FB credits or a few bucks to spend on Amazon is not worth it. A few months ago I tried this for my self wondering if what the hackers were doing could really work. I found a copy of the face book credits generator and bound a key-logger with the .exe file. I then up loaded the file to a free file server and posted a link to it on pastebin.com. I was very surprised to find logs sent to my email the very next day from the computer of some unfortunate that fell for my trap. After seeing that this indeed did work I disabled the key-logger and removed the file from the online server. This is a real problem that has been going around ever since we could share files with other computers.
All it takes to avoid these fakes is a little common sense. Remember if it sounds too good to be true . IT IS!
Well, it appears I oficialy have a tumblr page now. I admit my main motives for signing up was so I could fallow the various Steam Powered Giraffe pages on here but since I’m on here I may as well make the most of it and post some stuff my self.
I think I’ll be able to find some interesting things to write about so I’ll give it a try. :)
